The Bare Cove Fire Museum will be open for free tours on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Inside the museum you will learn the history of firefighting in New England using material primarily from Hingham. The tub from the first wooden Hingham fire engine is on display along with the hand drawn engines and hose reels used before motorization. On the apparatus floor are several Hingham pieces, a 1922 Maxim ladder, a 1924 Maxim pumper, a 1927 Maxim pumper and a 1935 Ahrens Fox pumper
